What is consciousness?
I see a turtle on a Lilly pad of water, I see it drinking water and looking into the water. It’s as if it notices itself as it looks at its reflection, and in that moment it perceives. Consciousness is the ability to perceive. This requires separation. It needs to be separate and individual to have a place of perception to start with. It needs a place to start; This is me, this is who I am, this is what I am. To be conscious of something you first need identity.
What is the difference between soul and consciousness?
Consciousness is something that grows, expands, and it is capable of changing perspectives. This depends on where the consciousness is at, How much it has learned and how much it has “evolved,” and what it is focused on. All these factors are included in how that consciousness perceives other energy. In other words, these factors will all play in a role of how they experience reality. In my opinion reality is subjective to each individual and is not as black and white as we would like it to be.
Two people in the same room can be experiencing two completely different versions of reality based on what’s inside their head and the emotions they are feeling. How can we say which one is the “truth”? The only answer would be both are true, or neither are true.
When I see the soul, I see an endless circle being drawn-our core vibration and endless light. So soul is the endless energy and light that is our core, and consciousness is what happens when its able to perceive- anything at all. When that soul becomes more conscious it is able to perceive more, and when you are able to perceive more you become more conscious. It is ever growing and expanding or perceiving more and more energy. You become “bigger and bigger” within this ever enfolding expansion of consciousness.
Do animals Have Consciousness?
Yes they are able to have an experience which makes them conscious. They are able to feel emotions. They have consciousness but less ability to perceive than humans (generally speaking, some animals seem more intelligent than humans!)
Do Plants Have Consciousness?
Yes they are able to feel and have experiences. They are even able to feel affection. Plants communicate with each other and sense and perceive energies. But their ability to perceive is less than animals.
Do Elements Have Consciousness?
I ask if elements are conscious and I see that, yes, elements have the ability to have consciousness because they can change their behavior. They can adapt. Water is able to change form when it communicates with fire. Fire is summoned when two sticks (earth) rub together and then the fire grows as it communicates with the earth. Air/wind has the ability to grow and die down as it communicates with other factors around it. I see elements are like soul that does not have an identity yet. They are intelligent but do not have the capability to have an individual identity so their level of being “aware” of their intelligence is limited, which means what they can perceive is also limited.
